Sammy is 10 months old

Hard to believe he's ten months old already.  He had a spa day a couple of days ago and looks so much bigger to me now.  Of course he is 22 lbs so maybe that's why!

Our little cone head

Sammy had his "boy surgery" Friday but seems to be bouncing back. He's adjusted to the cone but other dogs aren't real keen on playing with him thanks to the cone!

Sammy's First Spa Day!

Sammy isn't too sure about his spa experience but reports were that he did great for a little fella.  He looks older now with his new haircut and you can see his eyes more!

Who? Me?

What this picture fails to show clearly is the mud all over his face as he comes from behind the wall ... leaving behind a nice little hole he'd been digging ...

Samson's growing up

Took Samson for his next baby shot today so he's napping now.  My little sausage gained 4 lbs. in a month!  He's 7.5 lbs. now ... no wonder he's hungry all the time.  Serious growing spree!  Unfortunately they said he can't be groomed for another month as he needs his rabies shot then must wait a week.

Sun with a little hail

Yesterday was a miserable day with random rain storms and hail.  Today we have sunshine and warmth and things are greener after only one day of rain.

My little guy, Sammy, is growing up fast.  He slept from 10p-5a last night and comes and barks to let me know he needs to go out.  He is much more active the last few days and he and Chloe have been playing a lot.

Can you see the hail on the ground?

Bark Box surprise!

We had the pleasure of spending the last two days with friends visiting from northern California.  They had two of their grandchildren with them; today was the 12 year old's birthday and her 18 year old brother.  The kids enjoyed each other's company and we always laugh whenever we're together with Debbie and Kenny.

Little Samson was the hit of the visit and he received a Bark Box today from Chris and Michele!  I've seen these advertised on Facebook but never seen one in person ... it was awesome!  He loves the items and will surely love the treats!

First checkup

Today was Samson's first vet checkup and he was one tired puppy when we were done!  He weighed in at 3 lbs., 5 oz., and was a hit with the staff.  He goes again Monday for his next shot.

Furry cuteness

Samson (aka Sammy) loves to be outside and exploring the variety of sticks he finds along the way!

Meet Samson!

I can't believe it's been so long since my last post but that's because I have a new baby!  Samson is a 9 week old maltipoo weighing three pounds.  While he will never replace the piece of my heart that Sophie holds, he was also in need of being re-homed as the family members were very allergic to him.  He's a sweet little guy who was underfed but is making up for it now, sleeps through the night in his crate, and potties every five minutes!  He's learning how to play with his furry friends but Jake is the one truly enthralled with him.

A size comparison to "Mr. Grumpy Pants"!
On to other news ...  Friday Ryan was driving to school only to be hit by a young gal making his car undrivable.  After getting it towed to a body shop, we spent four hours getting him a rental car as he's not 25 (apparently the new age limit).  It's just unbelievable.  They were to start the repairs today and I'll confirm that tomorrow since I didn't receive the promised call back.  It was definitely the final straw to what was a tough week for him.  He and his girlfriend were able to come down and spend Saturday with us which is always great.

Kell is very sick with a bronchial infection and had to go to ER last night as she couldn't stop coughing to even sleep.  Mark took her at midnight and she had her first night's sleep in a week.  It's unfortunate that she's missing school this week given they are off all of next week :(

Connor's job search continues with hopefully some positive calls back this week.
